A Multimedia Exploration of the Story of Vulcan, Blending Film, Poetry, Sound, Music, Art and Science
Creativity and community are at the core of our research and development phase and we welcome your involvement. This is our shared space for ideas and people with ideas, interlinked by our diverse themes.
We envisage cross-sector activities, reaching out to a wide-demographic across the arts, environment, education, science, music, poetry, industry and heritage, to include events, talks, and partner activities. Our initial focus centres on steelmaking and mining community connections, in Sheffield, South Yorkshire and the Tees Valley but we’d also love to hear from you if you’re further afield and your ideas share the same creative spark as ours.
We particularly welcome approaches from other museums, galleries, science labs, and social and community hubs so we can broaden our reach. Get involved here!
Illustrator, artist, printmaker and avid sketcher Sheena Mary Davies was commissioned to create an illustration of Vulcan.
