A Multimedia Exploration of the Story of Vulcan, Blending Film, Poetry, Sound, Music, Art and Science
Diana and Emma were thrilled to be invited onto the wonderful and rather mischievous Paulette Edwards’ show on Radio Sheffield this morning.
Carolyn popped into the studio on her lunch break later, completing the Cradle of Fire story.
Paulette’s show included an exploration of links and connections to Sheffield’s steelmaking past, with a focus on Vulcan, prompted by our free screenings at Kelham Island Museum this evening.
Diana and Emma had the opportunity to discuss the inspiration for the film, which premières at an event that will also feature local sword dancing. The wider project and the importance of community engagement was covered too, as was our collaborative approach with the various Sheffield museums.
You can listen to Paulette’s show via this link. Diana and Emma were on at around 13:40 and Carolyn at approx 2:43:00.
Thank you Paulette and Radio Sheffield for sharing our project!
We hope the radio show will spark some new connections. Contact us with your ideas, we’d love to hear from you. Better still, pop down tonight if you’re in the area.
