A Multimedia Exploration of the Story of Vulcan, Blending Film, Poetry, Sound, Music, Art and Science
The story of Vulcan – god of fire, furnaces and volcanoes – is rich with incredible visual and story-telling possibilities. As my knowledge of the myth grows, that intersection with the power, skill and pride of steelmaking in Carolyn’s home city is becoming clear. It’s a joy to hear the stories from those volunteers in Kelham Island Museum, whose families and friends of families may have worked in the steel plants or whose parents made Sheffield cutlery.
