A Multimedia Exploration of the Story of Vulcan, Blending Film, Poetry, Sound, Music, Art and Science
We are thrilled to have received an Arts Council England project grant for our Cradle of Fire research and development (R&D) project.
This was secured thanks to an application by our lead, multimedia artist Diana Scarborough.
Cradle of Fire is an arts-science and museums co-creation initiative, at its essence inspired by steelmaking in the UK and the myth of Vulcan.
We have a broad and ambitious vision for the R&D phase which makes full use of the talents of our key contributors, most notably Carolyn Waudby, whose visionary lockdown poems sparked Diana’s initial interest.
Find out more about Diana, Carolyn and the rest of the team, as well as the project.
With many thanks to Arts Council England for the funding – we look forward to sharing our journey with you all.
